A big part of Retroelectro is simply that we genuinely love unusual stuff.
Vintage toys, obscure model kits, retro consoles, discontinued LEGO, records, music memorabilia, electronics, unusual RC models and boxes of things that make you stop and wonder what on earth you’ve just found. That’s very much our territory.
Over the years we’ve handled everything from familiar household names to incredibly niche items that take a fair bit of detective work to identify properly.
Sometimes we know exactly what we’re looking at. Sometimes we disappear down a research rabbit hole for an afternoon. We rather like both.
That enthusiasm matters because your collection isn’t just being viewed as a pile of stock. We’re interested in what it is, what makes it interesting, what collectors are looking for and where it might find its next home.
Selling A Collection Can Be Personal
People sell collections for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes somebody is downsizing or moving house. Sometimes a hobby has simply run its course. And sometimes a collection has been inherited after somebody has died.
In those situations, it isn’t necessarily just “stuff”. A collection can represent decades of somebody’s time, enthusiasm and memories, and we think it deserves to be treated with a bit of care and respect.
You don’t need to know exactly what everything is, and you certainly don’t need to catalogue the whole lot before contacting us. A few clear photographs and a rough description are usually enough to get started.

Retroelectro buys collections to resell. We think it’s better to be completely open about that.
Our offers have to leave room for the work involved in researching, testing, photographing, listing, storing, packing and eventually selling the items. But the deal also needs to make sense for the person selling to us.
We look at condition, rarity, demand and realistic resale value, as well as the amount of work involved in processing the collection.
